On Thursday, 9th April 2015 Captains and Past Captains representing 6 Counties arrived at Saunton for the annual West of England Counties Championship.

6 Counties Match

This year the Spring meeting playing for the Bob Stacey Memorial Trophy was played at West Wilts Golf Club. This being our Captain Bill Hartley’s home club.

The match against Dorset was played at Cumberwell Park GC in glorious sunshine with a very even match resulting in a draw.

The match against the SW Secs was played in continuous rain at a beautiful golf course, Ross on Wye but that did not distract from a great day.

It was a great pleasure to welcome the Shropshire and Herefordshire Captains to Wrag Barn. We had a lovely day with the match being played in bright sunshine .

Bill Hartley wins at the Dorset Presidents Spring Meeting. He won the Best Guest Score at the meeting held on Wednesday at the Isle Purbeck Golf Club, Studland.

This years fixture was away at the delightful Devon resort of Teignmouth. It was a high level hilltop course with stunning views of the Torbay coastline.

The annual Wiltshire Golf Captains' match against the Ladies was played at Marlborough Golf Club on Friday 5th June in sunny but blustery conditions.

This years Four Counties competition was hosted by Wiltshire Golf Captains at Upavon Golf Club on Friday 12 June 2015.

The summer Meeting playing for the Tom Sherry Inter-Club Trophy took place at Ogbourne Downs on a near perfect weather day for playing golf.

On a day that started overcast with light rain we welcomed local rivals Hampshire.  After an hour or so the heavens opened, the wind blew and the temperatures dropped.

It was a great pleasure to welcome the Berkshire Captains to Tidworth Golf Club, for our annual match. We had a lovely day in bright sunshine.

On a day which threatened rain in the latter stages, which fortunately did not materialise, the WGC played the Gloucestershire Captains.

The Wiltshire team assembled to a warm welcome at The Cotswold's Club near Chipping Norton on 20th August.

On arrival at High Post, we were sorry to hear that WGC Captain Bill Hartley was unable to make this match owing to his wife’s ill health. We wish her a speedy recovery

The Autumn Meeting this year was held at “The Wiltshire” in very inclement weather. The course was in excellent condition despite the heavy downpour

12 lucky captains had a great 2 days in the sunshine at Saunton. After a practice day on Wednesday on both the East and West courses, the serious event started Thursday.
