Autumn Meeting 2015

The Autumn Meeting this year was held at “The Wiltshire” in very inclement weather. The course was in excellent condition despite the heavy downpour it received during the match, the greens drained very quickly once it had stopped.

There were 56 players including two members each from the Sussex and Berkshire Captains not quite as many as usual which could be due to the fact it was played on a Monday.

The dinner was very well received by everyone after which the prizes were given out by Ray Smith our President, which was followed by the WGC Annual General Meeting.

Winners on the day were:-

Best guest pairing were David Harmer and Ian Wood from Sussex with a score of 68.

Best Back Nine was won by Gordon Buckett from Marlborough and Mick Batt from Ogbourne with a score of 33.

Best Front nine pairing were Andy Cook from The Wiltshire and Peter Davis from North Wilts with a score of 32.

Third place was taken after count back by Neil Black from Erlestoke and Alan Kerr from Chippenham with a score of 68.

Second Place was won by David Walker from Upavon and Steve Mitchell from The Wiltshire with a score of 67.

The Winners of the Burridge Salvers were David Kyte from Upavon and Ian Armstrong from The Wiltshire with a score of 65.
