Saunton Salver 2015

Played at Saunton Sands Golf Club, East & West Courses

12 lucky captains had a great 2 days in the sunshine at Saunton. After a practice day on Wednesday on both the East and West courses, the serious event started Thursday. Interestingly on whichever course you had not practiced on. We came a respectable 5th out of 11 counties playing, only 5 points behind 2nd place Shropshire. Predictably Devon were the runaway winners. Had the rest of us got close to the magnificent 42 points scored by Fred Psyk and Graham Sharpe, (the best score on both days on either course) we would have been among the prizes.

The courses were in great condition and the organization exemplary.
