WGC V Devon

Played at Teignmouth GCThu 28th May

This years fixture was away at the delightful Devon resort of Teignmouth. It was a high level hilltop course with stunning views of the Torbay coastline in one direction and an undulating sighting of Dartmoor inland.
A relatively flat high level course with heathland and links characteristics with a few quarrys in front of several tees thrown in for good measure.

The weather was kind to us with a moderate offshore wind and sunshine with a few fluffy clouds sailing by.
Our hosts gave us their usual friendly Devon hospitality and allowed us to succeed 5 1/2 to 2 1/2 in the match with one unnamed Wiltshire player scoring an eagle with a shot making it a net albatross.

Our sincere thanks to all the Devon Captains and officials who made the day so enjoyable on a course in good condition with second to none hospitality in a modern clubhouse with breath taking views.
We look forward to returning our hospitality on home territory in 2016.
