Match v South West Secretaries

Well what a day, We turned up with 12 players, they turned up with 16 ! The weather was rain all day.

The SW Secs have a new secretary and is very enthusiastic but we do normally play with 12.

But that did not detract us from having a wonderful day, the camaraderie was shining bright and did not dampen our enthusiasm.

What a wonderful golf course, individual holes lined with trees and I met most of them, some big some small but all willing to shelter my ball from the elements, but this is a true members course and all the grass is searchable, a credit to the green staff and management.

I drew the short straw and ended up having to write a very short report on the day as well as photographer.

Jim Gould did a great Job in organising the event and a big thank you to Ian Wood who stepped in at the last moment as Captain.
