The forecast promised that rain was looming

But at Cumberwell Park the course was blooming

Those that were early were invited to eat

Bacon and rolls, and coffee a treat!

A few minutes later Wilts Farmers turned up

Their bacon was missing and no coffee so sup

The guilty few claimed that they never knew

 Malc Nixon and his farmers guessed that wasn’t true.

We all then tucked into our sarnies and soup

Before heading off for the Orange/Blue loop

The first matches promised that it could be a rout

But a loss and two halves put that into doubt.

The backmarkers rallied, the match was won

So we retired to the bar for drinks and some fun.

The Cumberwell fare is some of the best

Our Chicken and sides both passed the test

Shrops Captain then stood and announced that we....

Had completed the match and won 5-3.
