Wiltshire Captains v Wiltshire Lady Captains

At Wrag Barn Golf Club

It was a great pleasure to welcome the Wiltshire Lady Captains to Wrag Barn.

We had a lovely day with the match being played in bright sunshine on what was arguably the warmest day of the year.

The team came together fairly well with only a few withdrawals that were replaced from the reserves.

For logistical reasons, namely a Seniors Friendly match, it was agree that we would commence our match with brunch at 10:00 am and the first tee time being 10:48 am

The match was played in a fantastic spirit with much banter and laughter had by all.

Thankfully and much to my relief the Men prevailed, winning 5.5 to 2.5

Following the match we all sat down to a wonderful early evening salad that was much commented upon by all present particularly the resulting early evening finish which might set a precedent.

After dinner proceedings were presided over by John Hawley and Sue Long and after the usual pleasantries we all departed for home content and well fed.
