Match v Worcs  

On 5 September the Wiltshire Golf Captains played host to our friends from Worcestershire at The Wiltshire Golf Club. Although the rain had threatened during the early morning, the day developed into a pleasantly warm but cloudy afternoon, ideal for golf.

 The teams found a very well presented course which proved to be a challenge to us all. Several ‘tricky’ greens, cleverly placed bunkers and well-positioned lakes made this an interesting test of our skills!

Both teams were quick to compliment the course, the excellent facilities available at The Wiltshire and a superb meal which rounded off a very entertaining and competitive days golf.

The match result was slightly disappointing with WGC losing by 5 games to 3. However John Hawley was quick to thank our opponents for an excellent match played in good spirit, and eagerly looked forward to a return fixture in the future.
