The Wiltshire Golf Captains travelled to Petersfield Golf Club to take on the Hampshire Golf Captains on a glorious sunny day on 2 July 2014. The team arrived to hear in preparation for the match the greens had been ironed!!

Following the announcement of the pairings and a light lunch the team headed into battle. Each match was closely contested with the hot conditions combined with a tough course and greens testing everyone’s golfing prowess.

Nevertheless, the Wiltshire team put up a sterling fight and eventually game out winners by 6 games to 2.

The day ended with a wonderful meal, fantastic company and with the Hampshire Vice-Captain, Robert Gray, presenting the Captain of Wiltshire Captains, Steve Griffiths, with the annual ball marker trophy to be retained until the teams meet again in 2015.
