Autumn Meeting at Upavon

The autumn meeting playing for “The Burridge Salvers” was this year played at Upavon the club of our President Bob Channon.

The weather was ideal for golf the course was in excellent condition and the food was good too, every one had an enjoyable day.

We were honoured by the presence of 4 guests from Hampshire and Berkshire, the guests competition was won by Tony Hoskins and David Dyson the Captain and Secretary of Hampshire with a better ball score of 67.

The winners of the best Front 9 were Scott Talbert from Wrag Barn and his partner Peter Monk from North Wilts with a score of 31. 

The Back 9 was won, after a count back between three pairs, by Mike Williams from The Wiltshire and Robin Szymura from Wrag Barn with a score of 30.

Third place went to Geoff Smith from North Wilts and Andy Smith from Upavon with a score of 64.

The pair that came second were Steve Coleman from The Wiltshire and Gordon Blagbrough from Upavon with a score of 63.

The winners of the Burridge Salvers were Bill Lawrence from North Wilts and Mike Venables from Erlestoke with a score of 61.
